After Turning Into a Cat, I Was Picked Up by a Useless Princess

Whenever people in the Xia dynasty spoke of Grand Tutor Wei at court, they trembled with fear.

She was ruthless and merciless, and cared nothing for family ties.

No one knew that Wei Shu had an unspeakable secret.

Every night, she turned into a cat.

To make matters worse, the most useless princess in the palace found her.

Hua Ning was the sort of student who hid in the corner during lessons at the academy, so well that no one could see her. She knew nothing of music, chess, calligraphy, or painting.

What Wei Shu despised most was that, despite being a princess, she let anyone bully her.

Would she even get a fish to eat after being found by such a useless person?

Sure enough, just as she started eating, a palace servant flipped the table.

What Wei Shu didn't expect was that the useless princess had actually learned to fight back.

Maybe there was still hope for her.

The next second, Hua Qinghe declared, "You can bully me, but you can't bully my cat!"

Wei Shu thought, She must have lost her mind to put her hopes in a useless princess.

To avoid suffering, Wei Shu had no choice but to take matters into her own paws and help her cat owner.

Never in a million years did she expect that, as she kept helping, Wei Shu would carry the princess into the cat's nest too!

Hua Qinghe was the least important princess in the palace. Anyone could trample her underfoot.

She felt wronged and wept. She copied her mother's careful manner, kneeling devoutly in the Buddhist hall and praying for her life to get just a little better.

Her life didn't improve. The only thing that changed was that she found a cat in a corner.

On a dark, cold night, Hua Qinghe held the cat and whispered to it.

The next day, the palace servant who had cut her heating charcoal rations was punished and sent to the laundry.

The day after that, her older sister, who had bullied her, was confined to her quarters...

Hua Qinghe was delighted to discover that praying to a cat was better than praying to a god.
