The Plan to Save a Yandere Cannon Fodder

A gloomy, twisted, crawling male lead x a goofy female lead

Bai Moran transmigrates into a completely broken cultivation power fantasy, where demons run rampant, ghosts are everywhere, and the arrogant male lead is anything but invincible.

It's all because of the cannon-fodder male character number n, who was supposed to be dead.

To get the plot back on track, Bai Moran's first mission from the System is to kill him.

The male cannon fodder is covered in blood, with barely a patch of uninjured skin. One eye has been gouged out, and he lies on the ground, clinging to life.

His one remaining eye gazes quietly at Bai Moran.

Bai Moran feels her scalp prickle. Good heavens, she's a law-abiding young woman from a society governed by the rule of law!

Ling Jisheng was born with a rare Yin body that allows him to cleanse other people's meridians. Not a single living creature has ever treated him well. Everyone, be they human, god, or demon, only wants to carve out his flesh and drink his blood.

Yet one reckless little talisman cultivator insists on coming right up to him. Because of her, Ling Jisheng chooses to suppress the demonic energy within him and stay by her side.

Thanks to Bai Moran's unwavering efforts, Ling Jisheng's condition stabilizes, and the world gradually returns to normal. Certain that she has completed her mission, Bai Moran fakes her death and leaves to enjoy her freedom.

Ling Jisheng picks the wildflowers Bai Moran wanted and returns to their home, only to find her corpse on the bed.

Demonic energy surges into the sky, dark clouds blanket the heavens, and the Three Realms are plunged into darkness.

After only a few months of freedom, Bai Moran is ordered by the System to get back to Ling Jisheng. Now a Demon Venerable, Ling Jisheng sits on his throne, holding the body Bai Moran left behind. He carefully reaches out to smooth the hair at its temples.

Down below, Bai Moran stands frozen. She doesn't see the veins faintly rising on the back of Ling Jisheng's hand.

"Ah, how strange. Why do you look exactly like her?"

Ling Jisheng tilts his head and smiles. "Or are you actually just someone who's been lying to me from the very beginning?"

Content warnings:

1. The male lead has a strange constitution, and evil spirits like to eat his flesh.

2. The male lead is gloomy and twisted, and his thinking is abnormal.

3. Neither lead is perfect. They both have their own character flaws.

4. My own take on cultivation.
