Max-level martial arts, emotionless-path senior disciple × a fragmented, lovesick, deranged little demon
Blurb:
Dashing young general × captivating, innocent-looking legitimate daughter of an earl
Shen Hanyue and Ling Yushuo had met once before. She had twisted her ankle and was limping along, leaning against the wall of a narrow alley as she slowly made her way out.
The moonlight was pure and bright. A silver saddle shone atop a white horse. He leaned down from the saddle and reached out to help her.
Frowning, he asked if she needed him to take her home.
The horse was tall, and the jade-like young man looked down at her from above. For some reason, Shen Hanyue suddenly felt utterly disheveled.
She shook her head and softly said there was no need. She could manage on her own.
That was the only time she ever interacted with him. The next time she heard news of him, he was holding the border garrison and refusing to submit to the new emperor.
Ling Yushuo didn't know that the bewildered young woman he'd met that night was to be married the very next day. Her marriage had nothing to do with love. She was merely a bargaining chip in the struggle over the succession.
Shen Hanyue also didn't know that the young general had quietly followed behind her until he saw her return to her residence. Only then did he turn away and leave for Yan Pass.
--
Shen Hanyue had become an insignificant sacrifice in the royal family's struggle for the throne. The powerful people above her waved a hand, and she died in the unseen, dark whirlpool of the capital.
She returned to the late autumn of her sixteenth year, hoping to make things right for the innocent, pitiable girl she had been in her previous life.
And, perhaps, she could finally say the words of thanks she hadn't managed to speak before.
The carriage rocked, and Shen Hanyue accidentally dropped the silk flower from her hair.
Ling Yushuo's light laugh flashed across the sunlight into her eyes. Lazily, he used the hilt of his sword to lift the curtain of her carriage.
The dashing young general raised his face slightly and returned the silk flower to her in his palm.
Looking into her eyes, he gave her his name. "I am Ling Yushuo of the Duke of Zhenguo's household."
A faint blush spread across Shen Hanyue's face, refusing to fade.
She thought, this really is a wonderful first meeting.
!!!Important!!!
Potential points of concern:
1. The plot and romance are split evenly. This is not a purely romance-focused story.
2. The political scheming is elementary, so please don't overanalyze it.
3. This novel focuses on an ensemble cast, and supporting characters will have significant page time. Please don't read if that bothers you.
4. The hero and heroine have a flirtatious, mutually teasing relationship until their engagement. They start dating after they get engaged, and their romance develops gradually.
5. The hero is tall, fair-skinned, and well-built. Since he is a general, I imagine him as rather muscular. In short, he is a tall, muscular man, so there will be descriptions of his height and muscles. Please don't read if that bothers you.
Wishing everyone an enjoyable read! Thank you for your support.

Max-level martial arts, emotionless-path senior disciple × aloof, emotionless immortal who knows nothing of love × fragmented, deranged, lovesick little demon
The first time Yan Jue saw Ling Du, after entering the Taishang Sect two hundred years ago, she fell in love with him.
But her sword sect master seemed born for the emotionless path. No matter what she said or did, he only looked at her calmly.
He seemed not to understand the love and affection of ordinary people. He loved only ascension to immortality.
She stayed with him in the Taishang Sect for another two hundred years. Ling Du no longer kept a cold expression all day. He went to Star and Moon Valley, picked a Yuqing flower, and gave it to her.
Yan Jue thought that perhaps he liked her too.
But the heavenly tribulation was approaching, and Ling Du had to face the trial of the emotionless path. He told her not to worry, that he would be back soon, and that she should wait for him without concern.
Yan Jue never saw Ling Du return. Everyone in the Taishang Sect said he had developed mortal feelings and died beneath the heavenly tribulation.
*
Yan Jue couldn't believe that the heavenly prodigy of the immortal realm had fallen just like that, so she descended to the mortal world and went to the demon lands.
She wanted to use fresh flesh and blood to bring her beloved back to life.
As expected, Yan Jue found a body perfectly suited to Ling Du. The young man looked exactly like her beloved, and told her his name was Ling Fengqi.
Aside from his appearance, Ling Fengqi was nothing like Ling Du. He was cruel, vicious, and despicable. There was nothing good about him, and he bore no resemblance to her pure, noble beloved.
Ling Fengqi was so bad she wanted to kill him.
But the young man told Yan Jue, "You're the only person in this world who's ever been kind to me. If you don't like me doing bad things, then I won't do them anymore. I'll become someone you can love."
Ling Fengqi said, "I love you."
But what was she supposed to do?
Yan Jue stared blankly at the bloodstained sword in her hand. Where could she go to find her beloved again?
*
A little scene:
Ling Fengqi's pupils were so red they seemed almost black. He stared fixedly at Yan Jue, stubbornly waiting for her explanation.
"You were lying to me all along. You lied when you taught me to cultivate, you lied when you taught me swordsmanship, and you lied when you helped suppress the demonic energy pouring out of me!"
Ling Fengqi was the only one left standing in Huanshan, but he was crying.
Through his tears, he said, "You never loved me at all. You won't even say his name in front of me, but I know it. His name is Ling Du. The person you love is Ling Du, not me, isn't that right?"
Yan Jue could no longer speak. Tears rolled in great drops from the corners of her eyes.
Ling Fengqi's sword pointed at himself.
"You love him. I'll make it happen for you."
"Yan Jue, look at me. Please, just look at me.
Please, I'm begging you, look at me. I'm not Ling Du. I'm not him!"
Theme: Happiness must be achieved through your own efforts.
It's like you've just watched a movie, and you feel like you're just waking up from a dream. It's so good that you can't bear to end it, so the extras are a must! [Compare your heart]
It's shocking to see this made into a TV series
Tied in one breath. The author writes very well, the characters are all flesh and blood and very three-dimensional. In the past few years, the ancient novels are either soft and sweet little wives, or they are just for the refreshing and mindless revenge, or they are too aggrieved. It has been a long time since I have seen such a balance between the plot and the emotional line. The writing is also very good, and several chapters brought me to tears (except that I don't understand why the heroine chose this name even though she knew that calling her Bai Hong would make the emperor suspicious). I hope the author will continue to work hard and finish it as soon as possible 😚
Her father is really... It's hard to describe in words.
Awesome [like], I mean the author's literary attainments
It was only when I saw Ashi that I remembered that he was from Turkic origin, and I forgot about it after so long of updating, haha
Big wedding!! I haven't watched the wedding night yet!! How can there be no extras! There is also a recuperation extra!! Torture the male protagonist!
It's been a long time, but it's finally over~
Is Ashina dead? Hope not
What a heart-warming chapter! Must succeed
