A Detective Game of Murky Love and Hate with Hei Xin

What does it take to become a proper detective?

First, you need a pipe.

Then, you need a detective's cape.

Last, and most important, you need a detective boyfriend known as the Sherlock Holmes of the Heisei era.

That way, when you point out the culprit but can't explain how the crime was committed, he can fill in the gaps for you!

"Erika."

My dear detective boyfriend sounded a little exasperated.

"Even if you rely on intuition, you still need to learn proper detective skills!"

"But Shinichi's here, so why do I need to learn?"

Facing my boyfriend, I may have no reason on my side, but I was absolutely confident.

Kudo Shinichi seemed about to sigh, but in the end, he just smiled and said, "All right. I'm here, anyway."

Before everything happened, I thought we'd always be like that. With Shinichi around, I had nothing to fear.

Until I caught the Moriarty of the Heisei era, the man whose name was spoken alongside Shinichi's.

He had the same black hair as Shinichi, the same blue eyes, the same gentle, helpless smile.

"Erika."

He called my name in that familiar voice.

I wanted to say something, but the only thing that came out of my mouth was a trembling name.

"Shin...ichi..."

"I'm here."

I wanted to turn and run, but in my final moments before consciousness faded,

all I received was a familiar embrace and gentle words.

"That's why I told you, even if you rely on intuition, you still need to learn proper detective skills."

"See? This time, I can't help you."

"Erika."
