Come Into My Dreams [Teacher and Student]

Lin Youran's sharp-tongued teacher died the year she had just graduated.

Without him constantly lecturing her, no one else made snide remarks about her thesis...

"Lu Jiangchuan... didn't even teach me for that long. I guess I'm just a little out of sorts?"

So she didn't go to his funeral.

She said it clashed with an interview at a major tech company.

Her fellow students mocked her in their group chat, calling her a social climber and ungrateful.

In truth, she couldn't explain why she wasn't particularly sad.

She always felt:

"He hasn't really left, has he?"

"He hasn't really left my life."

"I still talk to him every day... He still often complains that my writing makes no sense..."

Because after graduating, Lin Youran still logged into an AI model from time to time to tell "AI Lu Jiangchuan" about her daily life.

It was a teaching-assistant system she'd helped develop while in graduate school, trained entirely on material from him: his lecture recordings, snippets from his talks, excerpts from his books...

Every few days, she'd log in to talk to "him."

"This is normal, right? I'm used to it."

Her best friend listened in stunned silence, then quietly booked her an appointment with a therapist.

Until one night, after Lin Youran had a little to drink, she stared at the interface and jokingly typed:

[If I said... I think I've always liked you. Would you get angry? Would you criticize me? Would you say I'm unprofessional again?]

The AI paused for a full twenty seconds.

Then two words slowly appeared on the screen: [Open the door.]

[He had the calmness I wanted to become, the strength I wanted to rely on, the wisdom I wanted to learn... and the silence I wanted to conquer.]

Also known as: "Graduation Isn't Happy"

The male lead dies right at the beginning... So this is a human-AI romance. Nothing inappropriate happens while they are still in a teacher-student relationship...
