Suddenly, he took the glass back.

He tipped his head back, covering the small mark her lips had left, and drained the glass...

The light sharply outlined the movement of his Adam's apple. The last of his restraint shattered the moment the glass hit the floor.

As she looked up in shock, he gripped her chin.

His warmth pressed against her skin, and she was forced to bear his breath.

The scent of alcohol swept over her, making her choke. Tears sprang to her eyes.

But this time, he did not comfort her, as if he didn't care about her tears at all.

His fingertips brushed her cherry-red lips, wiping away the drops of liquor he had spilled.

Yet his voice was cold as he said, "When did I ever teach you that you could come home late?"
