My Sect Specializes in Finding Stand-Ins

The year Jun Si turned seventeen, she was cast out of her sect and left to wander the mortal world.

There, she was hunted by her enemies and suffered a head injury. When she awoke, she had lost all her memories and could remember only one face.

That face was lovely without being alluring, clear without being cold. When she smiled, she was like the moon over the mountains, and Jun Si thought she could only be someone from a dream.

But then the door opened, and the woman from her dream appeared before her.

"Miss, how are you feeling?" Those were the first words the woman from her dream said to Jun Si.

Jun Si froze and looked at her. "Who are you?"

The woman replied, "I'm a hunter from the mountains. You can call me Jian Dan."

They were together day and night, keeping each other company for years.

Life in the mountains was peaceful and carefree. Jian Dan thought she and the girl she'd taken in would spend their whole lives that way.

But life is unpredictable. One day, the girl suddenly vanished without a trace.

When she returned, she said she was an elder of an immortal sect and wanted to take Jian Dan as her personal disciple.

Jian Dan had no idea what a personal disciple was supposed to do.

She only knew that in this vast mortal world, the girl was the only person she knew, and the only one she wanted to spend the rest of her life with.

So Jian Dan followed Jun Si.

Naively, she thought Jun Si was taking her along because she felt the same way and wanted them to spend their lives together.

It was only when they reached the Hehuan Sect that Jian Dan learned she was merely a shadow of someone else. Jun Si had kept her around only because she had grown tired of looking at a painting on the wall and wanted a living person standing in front of her instead.
