Feng Chan was imprisoned on an island by Xiao Yinran. It was surrounded by water on all sides, leaving her no way to escape.
Sitting at her desk, she listed various escape plans on paper:
1. Set the island on fire, fake her death, and flee
- But Dantong Island was surrounded by the emperor's imperial guards. Not very feasible.
2. Kill a guard and take their place
- But the imperial guards held roll call three times a day. They'd recognize her in no time. Also not very feasible.
3. Take the dog emperor hostage and make a run for it!
Feng Chan chewed on her brush as she considered whether this plan might work. Xiao Yinran was quite strong, and she wasn't sure whether he knew martial arts. Maybe she could stab him while he was asleep and knock him unconscious?
"I don't think that's very feasible," Xiao Yinran said, appearing without a sound. He deftly took out a restraint and fastened it around the bruises that hadn't yet faded. "When you're tied up on the bed, how do you expect to hold a knife?"
