A bleary-eyed Doctor Ning discovered that the little demon had disappeared, replaced by an unfamiliar man with striking features.

A strong arm was wrapped around his waist, and warmth kept radiating from the man's chest.

The man's long fingers rested naturally at Ning Peizhi's waist. Whenever Ning tried to get up, they would unconsciously tighten around him.

Ning Peizhi frowned and glared at the demon, who was sleeping soundly, calling him a "con artist" as he prepared to kick him out.

When Yu Qin woke up injured, the first thing he saw was a man with sharp, striking features.

His injuries hadn't healed, so he couldn't take human form. Dependent on someone else's hospitality, he pretended to play on a childish cat tree every day to please his "sugar daddy."

One morning not long afterward, Yu Qin excitedly called out to wake someone up. "Ning Peizhi, look!"

Ning Peizhi: "Put your damn pants on first!"

From then on, Ning Peizhi's home had one fewer "cat" and one more "housekeeper" to wait on him.

Later...

An old friend came by to visit Ning Peizhi and unexpectedly saw a man holding Ning Peizhi's hand and apologizing, with his shirt still off. The sight hit him like a ton of bricks.

The friend pointed a trembling finger at his "straight" buddy. "Peizhi... who is he? Why is this guy coming out of your bedroom...?"

Yu Qin's fingers stiffened. This time, there was no soothing him. "..."

He asked Ning Peizhi with his eyes how he should explain.

The vein in Ning Peizhi's forehead throbbed as he held his aching waist. "...Let go first."
