This novel is also known as Under the Twelve Rules
This is a strange supernatural world. People may be chosen by a rule as soon as they are born. Those chosen are compatible with their rule: it attracts ghosts, overcomes others, and benefits its wielder. Those who aren't chosen can only struggle to survive in a world full of ghosts.
Until one day, everything is upended by a guy who accidentally makes a contract with a ghost.
Rule One: When walking, you must not lead with your left foot.
Rule Two: When bending over, you must not lower your head.
Rule Twelve: When spinning, you must not close your eyes.
After seeing people on the street walk slowly and stop at odd intervals, bend in strange ways to pick things up, and have their faces twitch while eating, Bu Jie, who had just survived a ghost killing, looked on enviously. I mean, with so many people protected by rules, why couldn't one more be protected?
Having a ghost show up at your door every so often is genuinely miserable!

Bu Jie is a cynical man who wasn't chosen. He suspects that's why, after dodging N ghost attacks, he was murdered by a tiny banana peel. He slipped, hit his head, and woke up half-ghost, with a contracted ghost child standing beside him.
"I can't live like this anymore."
He lifted the covers, smashed the knife pointed at the bed with a stool, then looked at the little ghost in the corner and gave it a 'kind' smile.
So the next day, the little ghost, fresh from failing to hunt a human, was crushed to death on the floor by a butcher's knife covered in chicken blood that fell from the door. Bu Jie came out of the bathroom and looked at the corpse on the floor with relief.
Just as he was packing to move somewhere else, someone suddenly shoved him to the ground.
Feeling a tongue lick his neck, he pounded the floor wildly. He really couldn't live like this anymore!

Bu Jie has been a little troubled lately.
"I fell in love with you at first sight."
A deep voice sounded in his ear. Looking at the handsome, tall man before him, whose presence was dangerous, he dropped the little knife that had nearly 'accidentally' gone into his kidney and replied with perfect composure:
"I'm half a ghost, and you're a ghost too. Since ancient times, it's been humans and ghosts who couldn't let each other go, not ghosts and ghosts."
As the other man's expression grew more and more twisted, Bu Jie realized he was in a bind and couldn't help adding:
"Besides... I don't like people who can't even get full marks on a fifth-grade test."
His voice grew quieter and quieter until the air went still, and once again he was shoved to the ground.
Feeling the other guy's heart-piercing technique, he struggled wildly. How could a ghost be so unreasonable!
One-on-one, happy ending
The ghost child isn't really a ghost child. It was sealed into that form.
