Secret Crush on a Sugar Candy

1. At a university club dinner, Chu Ying was playing Truth or Dare when she drew a dare: as a prank, she had to pursue Meng Fanjin, the most unapproachable guy on campus.

Rumor had it he came from a wealthy family, but he was disciplined and rigorous, with nothing on his mind but studying. He ignored every girl who tried to get his attention.

Chu Ying refused to believe the rumors. She kept finding excuses to run into him, determined to finish the challenge.

She tripped while walking, and he caught her firmly in his arms.

When she couldn't answer a question in a lecture, he stood up and came to her rescue.

She tried asking him to see a movie, and he actually said yes right away.

Was she... doing this wrong?

2. The day Chu Ying finally won Meng Fanjin over, she completed the challenge and immediately turned around to dump him.

But he cornered her against the wall, his hot breath brushing her neck. “You seduced me, then you're going to abandon me?”

“Not a chance.”

The best hunters always appear as prey.

They lure you in, one step at a time.

Then they devour you whole.

“She was pretty clumsy at pursuing me. Oh well, I guess that's what I get for having a crush on her.”
