Blurb:
Zhong Xuanhe and Lu Yunce grew up together like childhood sweethearts in the same village.
Their entanglement began when Lu Yunce, then in eighth grade, went to borrow a workbook from Zhong Xuanhe, a high school freshman.
Three years older, Zhong Xuanhe was like both a sister and a mother to her. She supported Lu Yunce, who had lost both parents, through school, stayed by her as she grew up, and helped her spread her wings.
As they spent time together, they fell in love. During her first-year winter break, Lu Yunce came home and, in a shabby woodshed, finally crossed that line with the Xuanhe-jie she had loved for so long.
They promised to hold hands and grow old together.
In the end, their ten-year entanglement ended when Lu Yunce asked to break up.
On the day they parted, Zhong Xuanhe cried and asked, "Didn't you say you'd love me for the rest of your life?!"
Lu Yunce: "How can you take things said in bed seriously?"
Zhong Xuanhe pleaded humbly, "You don't want me anymore? Please don't leave me, okay?"
Lu Yunce: "I only think of you as my older sister."
Three years after they parted, Lu Yunce returned home in glory and tearfully begged to get back together. "Xuanhe-jie, look at me! It's Yunce. Look at me!"
