Stealing His Brother's Wife | Contract Romance | The Husband-Chasing Crematorium
Seductive and dark x refined scoundrel
"I won't bend down to embrace you anymore. I'll only smile as I reach out and wipe the tears from your face, hard."
-
The eldest daughter of the Song family was thrown out of her home. She was born seductive, defiant, and notorious for her black heart.
The eldest son of the second branch of the Wen family was refined, noble, restrained, and proper. His reputation was so good that every rich mother wanted him to marry her daughter.
"I can spare your brother." Song Qianqian leaned out the car window with a cigarette between her lips. The skin exposed above her camisole was whiter and more delicate than a lamb's in the night. "Three months. Wait until you fall in love with me."
She tossed him an oversized men's coat and drove away.
A subtle woody fragrance mingled with the sharp smell of smoke.
The window didn't roll up until long after Song Qianqian had left. She didn't see the usually mild-mannered man's lips curl into a smile. It was the confidence of a hunter who knew his prey was already caught.
No one knew of the coldness and detachment hidden behind his gray steel glasses, or his iron-fisted ways. He was simply good at hiding them.
-
She and that Bentley used to watch each other from opposite sides of the street.
Later, the Bentley became hers.
Song Qianqian gently touched his tie. To anyone watching, it looked tender and intimate. Only Wen Zaizhou could feel her grip tightening around his neck.
"Your ex-girlfriend... she doesn't seem much like me."
Wen Zaizhou still wore the same unruffled expression, as if nothing could faze him. With a slight tug, he easily caught her wandering hand in his palm. "Did I ever say you two were alike?"
"..."
People said Song Qianqian had a way with men. And sure enough, she could get a usually self-possessed man to flirt with her in front of everyone.
Wen Zaizhou would only smile at such remarks, refined and socially graceful as ever. He neither confirmed nor denied them.
-
They sped down the highway at sunset and kissed by the sea after a banquet. The masks they wore at the nightclub fell away for only a moment with the first rays of sunlight.
Everyone knows how Cinderella and the prince end up. No one ever told them how a pretend princess and a real young master were supposed to be together.
Later, she fell seriously ill, and he came to her engagement party.
The wind tousled Song Qianqian's long, curly hair, but she no longer looked fragile and sick. She was radiant, more beautiful than a rose.
Wen Zaizhou stood in the wind in a black wool coat, his eyes and brows filled with an anger he couldn't conceal. "He's not right for you."
Song Qianqian didn't climb all over him as she usually did. Instead, she kept her distance, but her words were still just like her.
She said airily, with a teasing smile, "Who is it I can't play?"
