Once You Land a Job, You Have to Work

Lan Xiaomei is a mermaid who lives in the deep sea.

She was curious about the world on land, especially after hearing an ancient myth.

The mermaid princess saved the prince on the shore, and from then on they lived happily ever after.

Lan Xiaomei longed for that life, so she went ashore.

After all, the human snacks she found by the sea were delicious. Lan Xiaomei couldn’t resist and wanted to eat more.

But once ashore, she discovered that delicious food had to be bought with money.

And she had none.

When Lan Xiaomei cried, her tears didn’t turn into pearls, and her singing voice wasn’t beautiful.

It turned out that on land there was no prince, only a poor mermaid.

She couldn’t return home for three years after coming ashore, so Lan Xiaomei had to get a job and earn money to support herself.

Fortunately, she met someone from the deep sea.

An octopus who was an esports streamer introduced Lan Xiaomei to his boss, a young master, as a bodyguard.

There was just one rule: she mustn’t lust after the young master.

Lan Xiaomei swore she wouldn’t.

But after meeting him, she started to change her mind.

How could anyone be even more beautiful than a mermaid princess?!
