The Assistant Simmered Slowly

Chen Yi'an had been Si Hang's assistant for four years, and had been secretly in love with him for just as long. Worn out physically and tormented inside, he finally couldn't take it anymore. He planned to confess on Si Hang's twenty-eighth birthday, just to bring things to an end for himself.

He didn't expect Si Hang to be even more decisive. He had Chen Yi'an book an upscale restaurant and buy flowers, then gave them to the person he was going on a blind date with that night.

Fine. Chen Yi'an decided to write his resignation letter like a good, sensible employee.

But just as he was about to hand it in the next day, Si Hang got into a car accident that night and fell into a coma.

The immense burden of the company fell on Si Hang's younger brother, Si Zhuo. This newly returned rich playboy grabbed Chen Yi'an by the leg, bawling and threatening to die if he let him resign.

Unable to bear leaving and with no other choice, Chen Yi'an resigned himself to staying and cleaning up the mess.

He never expected that the playboy, who seemed frivolous and good for nothing, would turn out to be a prodigy, not only holding the company together but also finding time to flirt with his brother's assistant!

Chen Yi'an skillfully handed in his resignation letter, but Si Zhuo tucked it away in a drawer and said with a grin, "This is your ninety-ninth love letter to me. I get it."

Chen Yi'an: "..."
