A somewhat twisted, suggestive god top x a gentle, independent human bottom who remains steadfast in her ideals
As a god summoned by others, He gazed at the woman before Him, her body covered in scars. He bent down slightly and, under her wary gaze, extended a long, slender finger to lightly trace her cheek.
"Are you afraid? What are you afraid of? Me?"
The god firmly lifted her chin, forcing her to look into His eyes. His long white hair trailed along the ground, and the corners of His narrow phoenix eyes tilted upward.
"Summoning a god requires a sacrifice, and you are the offering they gave me."
The god had no name. The god needed no name. But the woman who had risen from sacrifice to become His believer said, "You are my god, and everything I have is yours, including my name. If you permit it, I offer you my surname."
And so the god received a name, one bestowed by His believer: Bai.
There were disagreements between the believer and the god.
The god looked quietly at His believer and said, "Your life no longer belongs to you. Your body and even your soul belong to me. You have no right to offer yourself to me as a sacrifice."
There was salvation, too.
The believer opened her eyes after falling unconscious. What she saw was neither a gloomy sky nor the smug smiles of her enemies, but the god, shining in the sunlight.
"Thank you." Her pupils widened for an instant. She lowered her head in disbelief, then lifted it again. Her voice, not yet recovered, was slightly hoarse.
"You don't need to thank me. I told you that you already belong to me, body, mind, and soul. Until I leave, you will always be under my protection."
The god gazed calmly into the distant sky, His expression unchanged, as if this were only natural.
The deepest salvation came when...
"Do you think what I did was right?" Betrayed by the very people she had protected, her heart teetering on the edge of an abyss, the believer lowered her head and asked the exalted god.
"Whether it's right or wrong isn't for others to decide. It is for you alone." Not a trace of hesitation or pause entered His voice. "Did you do it to earn their gratitude? Do you do what you do because of other people?"
Hearing the god's questions one after another, the believer instinctively shook her head. "Those things were never what I sought. I did it for the ideals in my heart."
"Then what are you hesitating for?"
The believer slowly raised her head and looked at the god who had spoken. His face, usually devoid of any smile, now held the faintest curve of one.
"Follow your heart. Keep moving toward the tenacious, brilliant light within your soul."
After a journey both long and fleeting, the god departed.
Bai Muqi gazed at the enormous statue before her and said, word by word, "This is not the end. Our story will never stop here."
Summoning a god requires a sacrifice, and the believer is His finest offering.
Fate has not reached its end. The story of the god and His believer is not over...
