Online Games Are Full of Traps

A classic old-school keyboard MMORPG, and the story of a group of friends

As the future heir to a game company, Wei Lai knew from an early age how important it was to understand the company's games. Eager to show her professional dedication, she jumped into the game... and stepped straight into a trap she never managed to climb out of.

Week one: Wei Lai, possessed by her short-tempered big-sister self: Why is there an invisible wall here? How did I fall into a pit? Where are the programmers?

Week two: Wei Lai, driven up the wall by random teammates: Need one more for the dungeon! Looking for teammates who won't be a liability. Urgent, urgent, urgent!

Week three: Wei Lai, who'd seen through the master-disciple arrangement: This noob is begging for a master. Looking for someone who won't just abandon their disciple halfway through and leave them to fend for themselves.

Week four: Wei Lai, completely out of patience: I see through this game now. If you don't screw over your own sister, you can't survive.

As expected of her family's game: it was out to get its own people.

Reading guide:

1. One-on-one romance, no shipping wars. Character concepts are inspired by the Werewolf and Murder Mystery novels in my profile.

2. An old-school keyboard MMORPG with a lighthearted tone.

3. You don't need to have read my Werewolf or Murder Mystery novels to enjoy this one, but if you have, keep an eye out for hidden Easter eggs.
