This is an abandoned-project warning: updates will be very slow, so run while you can! I'm leaving it up just to see if there are still any Shin Hong Group fans out there.
The male and female leads are from Imamura Masahiro's books. I've heavily changed their characterizations, though some ideas from the originals will appear, such as Kenzaki's bad luck and Hamura's hatred of petty thieves. You can basically treat them as original characters.
No secondary couples, no secondary couples.
There will be lots of literary character headcanons.
The early plot will follow the original storyline, but things will diverge later.
Neither lead is exactly a good person in the strictest sense. We're going with pure love, pure love is the best!
Here are their character profiles.
□□'s life was nowhere near as bad as Kenzaki Hiruko had imagined.
Her coworkers were a little crazy, sure, but some of them were considerate.
Her boss was a bit of a jerk, but at least he paid her on time.
The work was a little annoying, but in the end, there weren't many times she had to risk her life.
During the Blue Era, Kenzaki walked right into Takase-kai's arms depot with a lollipop in her mouth and sighed. “That's it?”
During the Dragon Head War, Kenzaki used a sword to kill a rioter who tried to open fire, thermos in hand, and remarked, “What a rookie.”
Then she watched a bunch of foreigners flood into Yokohama, all clamoring for the so-called “Book.”
The doll-like girl snapped and bent the silver cake fork in her hand. “How am I supposed to deal with this???”
I can't save Yokohama. You're on your own, everyone.
Hamura Yuzuru felt that his life was like a roller coaster ride through hell.
His parents died in a cataclysmic disaster caused by “Arahabaki” when his memories were still hazy. After that, he and his sister, three years his junior, struggled to survive in the slums, until she stopped breathing one rainy night.
Fortunately, the president of the Armed Detective Agency found him. Thanks to his supernatural ability, he managed to secure a place at the agency.
Faced with the Armed Detective Agency's chaotic daily routine of gunfire and bombs, Hamura Yuzuru remained calm.
“Sorry, my ability is absolute defense.”
As a child who had climbed out of the darkness, Hamura felt that he had always been good at accepting unsavory things.
People who made mistakes only needed to be punished. There was no need to keep resenting them.
But when he saw all those foreigners eyeing Yokohama's “Book,” Hamura sighed.
Ah, I really can't accept stealing at all.
Things that belong in Yokohama should stay buried in Yokohama, shouldn't they?
