[Genshin Impact] The Anemo Archon's Kiss

Huayang transmigrated into a world where gods and monsters existed.

As a perk of being a transmigrator, she had a little supernatural power of her own, and made a living by using it to help people.

She also met a boy like the wind, named Venti, a free-spirited bard.

He was always too broke to afford a meal, so Huayang had no choice but to take care of him.

*

The Archon War had just ended, and Huayang and Venti set off on a journey.

She met the God of Contracts, who was merciless in battle yet benevolent; befriended the God of Eternity, one of a pair of Electro twins; and encountered the God of Wisdom, who ruled over grass and trees.

Along the way, Huayang wondered, "Why do the gods of every other nation travel alongside people, while Mondstadt's Anemo Archon is nowhere to be seen?"

Anemo Archon Venti: "Ehe?"

*

Later, Huayang was forced to leave this world.

She prayed to the gods with all her heart, begging them not to cast her out.

*

Two thousand five hundred years later, the Anemo Archon broke through the dimensional barrier and brought her home from another world.

Venti: "Ehe, moved? How about showing your Anemo Archon some appreciation?"

Huayang: "Like what?"

Venti: "An apple, a bottle of wine, a hug, or... a kiss."

Venti met a girl from another time and space.

She had the power to control time, but used it to help people on the brink of death fulfill their wishes.

Worried she might be a threat to Mondstadt, Venti stayed by her side to watch and test her.

*

The girl believed in the God of Wind. She ran through the breeze, played music in the forest, and gave her earnings to those in need.

When she smiled, she was as beautiful as the light of dawn.

Venti became her traveling companion, silently clearing away obstacles she could not overcome.

Until one day, she stole a kiss on his cheek.

Wait, had he misunderstood something?

*

Later, Venti brushed aside the golden sands of time and discovered the truth.

If this is your wish...

Then, as your god, I will do everything in my power to make it come true.

As for my reward, give me that unfinished kiss.

What? You say you can't kiss a god?!

1. A little-sunshine believer x Anemo Archon, both are devoted romantics. This is self-indulgent writing, aiming to capture the original's style, with a little poetry.
