Huh? I'm Zhu Yuanzhang's County Magistrate?

[According to unofficial histories, after Empress Ma of the Ming Dynasty died, Zhu Yuanzhang tried to die alongside her but failed. The lack of oxygen in the tomb chamber damaged his brain, so he went on a killing spree!]

Ji Shao silently turned off the video. Could an unofficial story about dying alongside the empress get any more far-fetched?

Old Zhu hadn't only started suffering from a lack of oxygen after Empress Ma died!

When Ji Shao opened his eyes again, someone had shoved an appointment letter into his hands. The people around him trembled. "Shao'er, you're the only one who can serve as county magistrate. Go on, hurry!"

Once Ji Shao remembered everything, his smile slowly faded.

Years after Old Zhu's killing spree, no one dared to become an official anymore.

The position had been passed around the clan until it landed on him, an orphan.

Fine, fine. Let's see what happens when he goes all out. Shall they all play the Nine Clans Elimination Game together?

The clan members had no choice but to spend every last penny they had to send Ji Shao off to become an official. They repeatedly reminded him, "If you run out of money, ask the family for more. Don't you dare embezzle even a single coin!"

It wasn't that they were so incorruptible. They just valued their heads.

Dressed in fine silk, Ji Shao headed to take up his post, unable to stop himself from thinking, Why did I watch short videos before bed? Now I'm here serving as a county magistrate for Old Zhu!

What year of the Hongwu era is it, anyway? Let's see how many years I have to survive.

But how did he end up taking in so many exiled big shots while serving as county magistrate?

Every one of them praised his county for its beautiful scenery and abundant resources.

Even after Old Zhu died, Ji Shao's life was still going just fine.

That is, until Zhu Biao and Judy showed up too...

And now, looking at the year, there are only three years left before Brother Biao passes away...

Is it too late for me to switch to studying medicine now...?

P.S. 1. Ming Dynasty transmigration, semi-alternate history. Please don't nitpick the history.

2. One-on-one romance. The female lead is from ancient times.

3. Lighthearted and fluffy. Just read it for fun.
