A lively, dependable, talkative bottom x a cool, reserved, principled, mute top
He's not really mute!! He just doesn't talk much!!
Blurb:
On the first day of school at Z University, Yan Sui's brain went foggy from food poisoning. In front of a crowd of onlookers, he tackled an innocent passerby and kissed him on the lips.
Yan Sui: ...
Handsome guy: ...
Onlookers: Ooh!
The handsome guy he'd kissed was Gu Wang, a sophomore civil engineering major, a straight-A student, and the top man on the school's untouchable-men list for the past two years.
Yan Sui picked up a gift and prepared to go to the man's place to apologize, rehearsing his apology in his head as he went.
Once inside, the senior was kind and even offered him water. Yan Sui marveled that the senior was not only handsome but kindhearted, while tapping his head and wondering if he'd been poisoned again.
Why else would he see a vision of the senior lifting his shirt to reveal a six-pack while playing basketball?
The thoughts "There's poison in the water" and "The senior saved me" fought it out in Yan Sui's dazed mind. His speech system crashed, and under Gu Wang's puzzled gaze, he managed to blurt out four words.
Gu Wang is going to be the death of me.
Gu Wang: ...?
His junior's got something wrong with him.
**
Everything changed the day he accidentally kissed his junior.
First came a strange burning sensation on his wrist and fingertips, then a sudden increase in the spiciness of chili peppers that returned to normal the next second, and finally, inexplicable images appeared before his eyes
Sometimes it was a corner of a garment, sometimes a book, sometimes a cat meowing and refusing to let him get close.
With strange things happening one after another, Gu Wang finally realized that he and someone else were sharing fragments of their memories.
Unable to find a solution, the two became each other's chaperones to protect their privacy, and agreed on three rules
#No asking why
#No saying weird things in public
#Absolutely no drinking
Gu Wang, on seeing the third rule: ?
"I'm worried you can't hold your liquor." Facing his live-in companion's puzzled gaze, Yan Sui tried to sound calm. "You don't want to say something embarrassing when you're drunk."
Gu Wang said he understood.
On their first day living together, Gu Wang won his housemate's heart with his incredible cooking and lost dishwashing privileges for the next month.
On the second day, Yan Sui accidentally let slip that he'd deliberately plotted to try Gu Wang's cooking. He was mercilessly punished and lost the right to order spicy chicken feet.
On the 345678th or so day of living together, Gu Wang no longer needed Yan Sui to say anything. He could tell from the shape of his mouth what dish the kid was about to name.
Before he'd even graduated, Gu Wang had picked up a side job as a chef.
"This is a glorious addition to your resume!" said Yan Sui, who drove a Maybach and acted as Gu Wang's errand boy. "Look at me. I can write: Excellent adaptability and extensive teamwork experience."
Adaptability: Can find whatever's needed, anytime, anywhere.
Teamwork: Doesn't know the way and doesn't use navigation, just communicates telepathically with Gu Wang.
Gu Wang: "..."
It's fine. He already knew his junior had something wrong with him.
**
The "Wang" in Gu Wang's name means foolish yearning and feeling unworthy.
The straight-A student who had come from a poor county didn't like people or love anyone. He thought he'd keep walking through life alone.
Until one day, someone held him and said: It means hope.
Not a burden, but hope.
If Gu Wang was a rat in a gutter, then he should always be sensible and keep his place, never longing for something that wasn't his.
But he's a living person, too. He has a moon he wants to strive toward.
