Spring at Her Temples

Luo Shi was born with celestial beauty, but her constitution was frail, making her one of the lowest-grade Gu people in Miaojiang.

At an auction, Zhu Tianyin claimed her. After they married, he taught her to read and write by day, and helped her nourish her body and strengthen her constitution by night.

She loved the sound of hairpins and jewelry breaking, so the young man crafted a priceless set of nine linked hairpins for her to play with.

"Do you like them? I do too."

Luo Shi thought he loved her, until one day she overheard his scheme.

"Hah. Why would I care about a mere beast? On the night of the full moon, it will be food for my new Gu."

A medicine vessel willingly consumed by Gu insects was a great tonic. She faked her death in a fire and escaped, but he went frantic with rage.

Zhu Tianyin was a heaven-blessed genius with a passion for cultivating Gu. He acquired a beautiful Gu person and kept her by his side. She was obedient and gentle, so he used a love Gu to draw the toxins from her body into his own, giving her a healthy constitution. He never expected her to run away. Now he was determined to tie her up and bring her back with his own hands...
