After a Blind Date, My Dead Husband Came Looking for Me

Five years after her husband died, Zhu Sui was tricked by a relative into a blind date, all for the sake of doing them a favor.

On the day of the date, he got so worked up that he fainted right at the dinner table.

When he woke up again, he was at his own funeral, aching all over.

He sat up in his coffin, frightening away all the relatives and friends who had come to attend his funeral.

Zhu Sui’s recovery was hailed as a medical miracle, even though he never sought medical care.

After the funeral, everyone acted as if nothing had changed, but secretly kept their distance from him. The relative who had tricked him into the blind date showed up with a box of cash and ran away faster than anyone.

A week later, Zhu Sui fainted at work. When he woke up, he was in the same coffin as before, only this time there were no relatives or friends screaming around him.

His parents looked at him strangely and asked if he felt unwell anywhere.

“My lower back hurts.” His body felt... a little off.

It was almost like it had been before his husband died.

When his parents went out, Zhu Sui pulled open his clothes and found bite marks all over his body.

Realizing something was wrong, he posted online in the middle of the night asking for help. A master got in touch and told him to meet at a certain temple the next day.

Zhu Sui went to meet him the next day. The master told him four things.

“You’re going to die soon.”

“But there’s a way to extend your life.”

“You need to sleep with your dead husband every night.”

“The more intense, the better it works.”

Zhu Sui flew into a rage. “Fraud! Give me my money back!”

Two days later, he fainted again.

This time he woke up at home, his back aching so badly he could barely straighten up, his body covered in bite marks.

He had no choice but to seek out the same master again.

“Where is that dead husband of mine?”

The master smiled and handed him three talismans. “Burn these and you’ll be able to see him. Remember, you have to sleep with him every night. You can’t skip even one.”

Zhu Sui: “For how long?”

Master: “Start with a year or two. We’ll talk about the rest later.”

Zhu Sui: Every night for a year or two? Are we sure he won’t get me killed in bed??!

Zhu Sui went home that night and burned the talismans. He saw his dead husband, whom he hadn’t seen for five years.

The dead man was surrounded by black energy. With a dark expression, he said, “I’ve been waiting for you down below like a good husband, and you dared to go on a blind date behind my back!”
