Chen Yu flirted with an aloof beauty, only to discover that this was a black-hearted beauty who was merely pretending not to know her.
1.
In Greece, Chen Yu meets a once-in-a-century heartthrob.
European bone structure, Asian features, handsome, well-defined brows and eyes, and a cool, proud gaze like ice-coated trees after a snowfall.
He's wearing a waiter's uniform, but even that can't hide his tall, slender frame.
After a little too much to drink, Chen Yu arches her graceful neck, her bewitching eyes captivating everyone around her.
She steps forward, pinches his sharp chin, and teases, "Want to pursue me? I'll let you cut in line."
He simply takes Chen Yu's delicate wrist and looks up at her silently, his expression indifferent.
His gaze makes Chen Yu's skin crawl, and she instinctively changes her tune.
"Or should I cut in line with you?"
2.
After returning to China, the young man she'd teased turns out to be the eldest son of the chairman of the biggest conglomerate and the newly appointed CEO of the Jiang Group.
She'd thought the snow lotus blooming alone atop a snowy mountain was actually a wolf-tail flower, one that played the fool while quietly outsmarting everyone.
There are plenty of fish in the sea. If this one's too hard to pick, she'll just move on to the next.
Chen Yu decides to pretend she doesn't know him. With his temperament, he probably can't be bothered to hold a grudge against her.
But in a dimly lit corner, the man pins her soft body against the wall without mercy, pressing his scorching breath against her.
"Didn't you say you were going to keep me? Hmm?"
Keep... I can't afford to keep you anymore.
3.
During an interview for an international news program,
the Italian host asks Qi Nian, "CEO Jiang, everyone knows that you're also the famous writer Sisyphus. Which of your works is your favorite?"
The tall, slender man lounges on a sofa in a smoke-gray suit. "Two Love Letters."
Everyone on set falls silent for a second.
The host snaps out of it, looking like she's just uncovered the juiciest gossip. "Can I ask who they were for? And..."
Why write two? Did the first one not work?
Qi Nian rubs the ring on his little finger, and a rare smile appears on his face. "You want to know?"
The host nods frantically, desperate to know who could possibly reject someone like Qi Nian.
Qi Nian slowly lifts his long fingers and points to Chen Yu, who's interpreting nearby. She raises her alluring, foxlike eyes, and a sense of dread rises in her.
Qi Nian: "Her."
The camera immediately swings toward the interpreters' booth, giving Chen Yu a crystal-clear, 360-degree close-up with no blind spots.
Chen Yu: …

- Blurb for "The Florence Symphony" -
Yin Lian's high school class beauty gets engaged to a rich second-generation heir and invites friends from both sides to a private room for a meal.
Halfway through dinner, a tall, handsome young man arrives late. He looks exhausted, but every aspect of his appearance and manner is captivating. His eyes are like peach blossoms clouded with ink, utterly mesmerizing.
The guests of honor silently shift places. No one dares strike up a conversation with him, but everyone talks about him behind his back.
They say Xiao Xiye is handsome and comes from a prominent family, but he has a terrible temper. Pursuing him would be asking for trouble.
Yin Lian just focuses on her food, showing no reaction when she hears his name.
After the gathering ends, the guests vanish, their elegant clothes and perfume lingering behind. A graceful figure disappears into the rustling rainy night, her snow-white skirt swaying and setting hearts aflutter.
Her friend takes her eyes off the woman, draws on a cigarette, then turns to Xiao Xiye.
"That girl Yin Lian is so beautiful, like a fairy. How come you didn't even ask for her WeChat?"
The young man leans against the car, one long leg propped up, and gives a perfunctory reply, as though he's forgotten that person exists.
That very night,
the bad-tempered one knocks on the door of the fairy-like one's room.
They drink from the same bottle, feeding each other with their lips.
They eat strawberries from the same plate, tasting them from each other's lips.
Then they go into the same bedroom,
hugging and kissing along the way.
Theme: Become better people together.
