Spring Snow and Winter Flame [Entertainment Industry]

Xu Maiying had been in the industry for eight years. Despite her stunning looks, she could only land roles in low-budget web dramas.

Whenever forums compiled lists of hidden gems or beauty guides, she made the list, but she never managed to become famous.

As time went on, even her agent advised her to accept it: A little fame takes promotion, but real stardom is down to fate.

But Xu Maiying didn't believe in fate.

Heaven had given her a beautiful face. She was born to be an actress. She had sacrificed so much for it, so why shouldn't she become famous?

Then Huo Chi won an international Best Actor award and instantly became one of the industry's most sought-after leading men.

Seven years ago, he had filmed an art-house movie that was shelved for years. At last, it was released on the back of his newfound fame.

Xu Maiying had also appeared in the film.

Huo Chi played the young master of a wealthy family, while she played his pure and innocent stepmother.

The director and the rest of the cast traveled from one promotional event to the next.

The newly crowned Best Actor Huo Chi was highly professional and never missed an event.

At every stop, Xu Maiying always stood as far away from Huo Chi as possible.

They had very few scenes together onscreen, and offscreen they seemed completely unfamiliar with each other.

But the audience shipped them like crazy, shouting for them to get together.

Xu Maiying only lowered her head and smiled without saying a word.

No one knew that she and Huo Chi had been married, then divorced.

Mature leads / rekindled love / ex-husband romance / how to tame a wolf into a dog

The characters are not based on real people.

Writing to indulge my tastes. It might be really melodramatic? Not sure, let's see XD
