My next book, The Crown Princess's Broken Engagement Plan, is already underway. Its blurb is at the very end.
Shen Yurou moved with her mother into the General's residence after her mother remarried, and became the General's legitimate daughter.
By nature lively, she was beloved by everyone, except her stepbrother, Shen Yuzhou.
He was handsome, but solitary by nature, treating her with cool indifference. Still, Shen Yurou liked him very much and followed him around every day, calling him "Big Brother" over and over.
She celebrated his birthday with him, brought him tasty treats and fun things, and kept him company and comforted him whenever he hid away, missing his mother.
The golden sun fell upon her, making her dazzling, as if the light of dawn had descended upon the world.
Shen Yuzhou's voice was as clear and hoarse as snow resting on bamboo. "Will you leave me too?"
She immediately hugged him and shook her head. "No. I'll never leave you, Big Brother."
Gradually, he began to smile at her. He protected her when she was bullied and taught her to distinguish right from wrong.
She thought their days would go on like this, but Shen Yuzhou was reclaimed by the royal family and became a prince. Though reluctant, she still smiled and saw him off.
After he left, the General arranged a marriage for her. She didn't want to marry, but gave in to her mother's pleas. Yet when the bridal veil was lifted, how could it be her big brother beneath it?
After his mother's death, Shen Yuzhou became indifferent and reserved, cold toward everyone and liked by no one.
He thought he would always be that way, until his stepsister, Shen Yurou, burst into his world like a ray of light.
Later, he realized that he had developed feelings for her that he shouldn't have.
He wanted to suppress them, to hold himself back, but whenever he saw her, those feelings grew like weeds, beyond his control.
Only when the royal family came looking for him did he learn that he was not of the Shen family's bloodline.
When he said goodbye to her, he didn't dare look at her, afraid he wouldn't be able to bear leaving.
When he heard she was going to marry, he merely murmured in acknowledgment, as if he didn't care. But a few days later, he heard that she had been abducted on her way to her new home, and that only an empty bridal sedan had arrived at her husband's residence.
As he lifted the veil from the young woman on the jade bed, he caressed her face and spoke in a lovestruck voice:
"You said you would never leave me."
Once you've glimpsed the sunlight, you no longer wish to be trapped in darkness.
Cool, solitary stepbrother x sunny, radiant stepsister

1. Not actually incest. The leads are not blood-related while together, and their childhood takes up only half a chapter.
2. Sweet romance, daily life, pseudo-raising, one-on-one, both leads' first time.
3. The tropes are old-fashioned and melodramatic. Don't read if that's not your thing.
4. Whether you like the writing is a matter of taste. If it's not for you, feel free not to read it. Thank you.

Next book: The Crown Princess's Broken Engagement Plan. Blurb:
When Jiang Yaoguang was five, she accompanied her father to an audience with the emperor. An imperial edict betrothed her to the young Crown Prince. Little Yaoguang pouted and pointed at the prince beside her, looking displeased. "Who wants to marry him?!"
The young Crown Prince, Li Qingzhou, folded his arms and sneered. "As if I want to marry you."
They argued fiercely until the adults pulled them apart. From then on, they were like fire and water, and quarreled whenever they met!
At thirteen, Jiang Yaoguang couldn't take it anymore. To make the Crown Prince break off the engagement himself, she came up with a plan:
One: Show him how crude she could be.
At a palace banquet, Jiang Yaoguang deliberately knocked over his tea, then apologized in a coy, self-deprecating way. But Li Qingzhou not only didn't get angry, he mocked her in return. He took her handkerchief to soak up the water, then mistook the phoenix embroidered on it for a sparrow. She flew into a rage and argued with him. Plan failed.
Two: Destroy something he cherished.
In an empty corner of the library, Jiang Yaoguang cut off a corner of the robe the Crown Prince treasured, just to provoke him. But he snatched the fabric back, confiscated her scissors, and threatened to cut off her hair if she did it again before leaving.
This time, not only had her plan failed, she'd also lost a pair of scissors.
Three: Act flirtatious.
In the Eastern Palace study, Jiang Yaoguang snatched the Crown Prince's book, grabbed his hand, pressed it to her face, and fluttered her eyes at him. Instead, the Crown Prince became so embarrassed and angry that he scolded her for having no shame and told her to leave, only to flee in disarray himself.
She hadn't expected her third plan to fail too. How annoying!
After that, no matter how much she made a scene, Li Qingzhou still wouldn't break off the engagement. With no other choice, she brought out her ultimate weapon. On their wedding night, she handed him a divorce agreement she had written herself:
"Sign it, and we'll go our separate ways."
Li Qingzhou didn't even look at it. He burned the agreement and grabbed her wrist. She couldn't struggle free, and heard him speak in a voice cold as ice:
"And what if I refuse?"
Naive, spoiled nobleman's daughter x proud but softhearted Crown Prince
