Li Che, the alpha at the top of the list of omegas' dream spouses, is one of the leading figures in the A/B/O equality movement.
Unfortunately, before his work is even halfway done, he gets bound by System 77 and turned into a scummy male insect.
He is supposed to atone for the original host's sins by cherishing Xise, the male insect spouse the original host abused, and advance equality for female insects so they can no longer be harmed at male insects' whim.
77: That's how it is, Host. Xise is so pitiful. You have to treat him well. And this decaying insect society is in desperate need of reform. Why should male insects be allowed to hurt female insects whenever they please?
Li Che: I refuse.
77: How can you refuse? As an alpha, you've always cared about omegas and treated them kindly, while showing no mercy to other alphas. You even took the initiative to help omegas fight for equality. Surely you can understand the suffering of female insects.
Li Che: Oh, that? Don't you know? My biological sex is alpha, but I have gender dysphoria. I'm actually an omega.
77: ?!!!
In the end, Li Che follows 77's advice and takes on the mission, because this decaying insect society really does need to change.
So Li Che launches a movement for male insect equality.
Bonus scene:
On a popular insect dating show, a male insect named Li Che becomes an overnight sensation.
On the show, this elegant, stunning young male insect gently embraces a young male insect who has been condemned by the entire internet for insulting a female insect. In a tender voice, he says, "Don't be afraid. I'll always understand you. 'Only male insects will help male insects.'"
Content warnings:
Li Che is the top, and the bottom is an insect big shot. In insect society, the bottom is considered an oddity and would usually be seen as a top.
There will be no cherishing of the original host's former male insect spouse as a way to atone for the original host's sins. Li Che will divorce him at lightning speed. Li Che is innocent to begin with and will not take the blame for the original host or become a sucker who takes over his mess.
This is a story about equality for male insects, seeking a way for them to claim the rights they deserve.
The story will explore A/O dynamics, female and male insects, and how to achieve equality. These are all the author's personal views. If you disagree, you're welcome to discuss it civilly in the comments.
This story is based on certain insect-novel tropes about equality and doting on one's wife, and may contain many controversial takes and sharp criticisms. Please carefully consider whether you accept the story's premise and views before reading. If they don't suit you, please don't force yourself to read.
The first chapter is rather dry and consists entirely of discussion. The author wanted to lay out all their arguments in this story first, so readers who aren't sure whether to continue can use the first chapter to decide. Please bear with it.
