Mo Mingzheng is a beta, unaffected by pheromones and with no family to speak of. Obedient and useful, she stands out among a group of candidates all named "Mo Mingzheng" and is adopted by the Mo family to help manage the family's illicit businesses as Mo Jushu's assistant.
The Mo family also has a frail, beautiful warbler, Mo Xiaoque.
While Mo Mingzheng is learning how to kill with weapons, the warbler is staying in the hospital. While she is negotiating deals with space pirates at a base port, the warbler is at school doing homework...
Protected in their nest by a flock of eagles, the warbler is innocent and pure.
Mo Mingzheng loves and cherishes the warbler, too. The trouble is... she seems to have a bit of a soft spot for one of the warbler's suitors. But compared to how much she cherishes Mo Xiaoque, that tiny bit of affection is nothing.
Until one day, Mo Mingzheng is injured and taken in by someone who nurses her back to health. He looks almost exactly like that suitor.
Mo Mingzheng's heart stirs. If she can't have the real thing, she might as well take a taste of this imitation.

Reader's guide:
1. No women fighting over men. Sisterly bonds come first. The female lead cherishes her family more than her own romantic feelings, and is only attracted to the idealized white moonlight in her imagination.
2. Men are like clothes. Mo Xiaoque cherishes the female lead, too. If she knew the female lead liked her suitor, she'd toss him right into the female lead's bed.
3. The male lead and male supporting character are twin brothers. Their parents divorced, and one went with their father while the other went with their mother.
4. Mo Mingzheng wins the male lead over by any means necessary, and he ends up loving it.
5. Her adoptive brother, Mo Jushu, likes the female lead. They are not blood-related.
6. The female lead is inexperienced, but the male lead is not. Expect melodrama, hehe.
