Check out my new story, "My Miserable Classmate Couldn't Possibly Be in the Mafia"

A magician switches careers to become a mafia member.

Also known as: What Is It Like to Be So Broke from Collecting Merch That You Have to Sell Yourself?

As one of the Port Mafia executives dispatched on an assignment, Kuroba Yui unexpectedly gets caught in the Dragon Head War, when all of Yokohama is sealed off.

After spending all her funds on merch, she sets her sights on the six-month police academy program. Meals and lodging are covered, and she can learn the physical combat skills she has always lacked. What a perfect place!

A few months later, she drops out halfway through and abandons her forged identity outright.

But who can tell her why, a year later, she runs into two of her miserable former classmates at an organization deal?

Synopsis:

After dying, I wake up four years later. Kana Chio looks around in a daze.

When did the world get so many strange things?

I remember being an ordinary ability user!

Help, my ex-boyfriend seems about to fight that white-haired guy!

Kana Chio, a Yokohama native, is technically 22 but actually 18. With a rich work history ranging from underworld jobs to finding cats and delivering takeout, she has finally landed a proper job after being dead for four years: jujutsu sorcerer. Then she realizes there seems to be some secret behind those four years. And then, a thousand years or whatever, just die already! Hm? Why is the seal of the jujutsu world's chairman in my hand?

It's pretty easy to get promoted and earn a raise around here. √

At first, Kana Chio only wanted to find a reason to survive in this unfamiliar world. Later, when she looked back, she realized:

Ah, so there had always been so many people behind me.

For the sake of those who reached out to her, she could do anything.
