The First Villain

Top gong.

Dariel is the empire's little prince, born to a noble station and blessed with extraordinary magical talent. The Temple bestowed its blessing upon him at birth. Once he came of age, he announced that he was withdrawing from the race to become crown prince, earning the "kindness" of his three older brothers and two older sisters.

What nobody knows is that Dariel has been bound since birth to an artifact called the [Myriad Worlds Trading System]. He has traded through it since childhood, gaining a glimpse of how vast the worlds are. He has not the slightest interest in the paltry imperial throne.

Until one day, after trading with a technological world, the little prince received a novel called Mercenaries of the World as a gift.

In the novel, he is the second antagonist. He looks down on the protagonist and orders people to make trouble for him. The protagonist fights his way to the empire and joins forces with Dariel's second sister to murder him.

Dariel: What kind of self-indulgent bullshit is this?!

What infuriates Dariel is that he's neither the protagonist nor the final boss.

He's the second antagonist.

The little prince has never been content to play second fiddle.

Who's number one? Who's the protagonist?!

Get out here and give up your place.

The evil, starving soul-devouring, number-one antagonist, Lord of Demons Sols: Achoo.

The protagonist, who has just gotten his golden finger and hasn't even started his rise to power or left town yet: ...
