[Honkai: Star Rail] Players Are Always Being Weird with Me

You've transmigrated into Honkai: Star Rail, and you need a huge number of popularity points to unlock the ability to teleport home. As a former player, what will you do?

Gan Lu: Thanks for asking. I know exactly what to do.

In front, the god-tier Jing Yuan from the main story is watching like a tiger. Behind, Yunli, the Five Generals, Aventurine, and Firefly are handing out heart-wrenching tragedies in bulk. And then there's the mysterious woman Kafka, whose voice has everyone crying out for Mommy.

As a transmigrator with a System, Gan Lu knows that a simple storyline won't satisfy the players.

So how can she become the most popular character among them?

Easy: strength + shenanigans + emotional damage. (Smile.)

Her card strength and story strength both have to be top-tier. Throw in lots of lovely moments, then add a massive, huge pile of angst. :)

The players lured in by Gan Lu's antics burst into tears once they learn about her past and future.

"The developers have no heart!"

"Gan Lu! My Gan Lu! How am I supposed to go on without you? Waaaaah!"

"I advise the Honkai: Star Rail developers to be sensible. Please stop tormenting my wife! QAQ"

After releasing a trailer full of tragedy, Gan Lu gazes at the players sobbing their hearts out below and at her rapidly rising popularity points, then smiles with delight.

But...

She turns to look at her friends, who've been devastated by the tragedy too and are even keeping a close eye on her to make sure nothing happens. Guilt slowly creeps in.

I mean, it wasn't that tragic... was it?
