Otherwise, why would there always be a bunch of people staging murder cases? The suspects are invariably narrowed down to one of three people, and the methods are endlessly inventive. When the investigation hits a dead end, they all look at Serina expectantly, hoping she'll reveal the truth.
Then Serina discovers that the world is virtual.
Those staged murder cases are actually murder-mystery game scenarios made by players.

As a popular NPC in the virtual world, Serina receives confessions from four players at once.
By chance, Serina overhears her suitors gathered together in discussion.
"We went to see the fireworks together today. Did little Serina's corruption level go down?"
"Tsk, not one bit. The progress bar's been stuck at 50% for months."
"We have to find a way to stop AI Serina's personality from turning evil. Otherwise, if she activates the destruction program, technology in the real world will fall back by hundreds of years..."
"It's fine, Zero. Worst case, we can start studying the Field Survival Handbook right now."
"Jin, that's a very forward-thinking suggestion. I suggest you stop suggesting things."

A few years later, the four gradually disappear from the virtual world.
Serina does everything she can to hack into the real world's information database, only to be told that they're either missing or killed in the line of duty...
With her heart turned to ashes, Serina decides to destroy the world.
