I Don't Want You to Be My Brother

I chose the water radical for your name: Yan. Your name is Heng.

"Ah Heng, I'm back."

–

I have a secret that nobody knows: I like my older brother, Wen Heng.

"I don't want you to be my brother. I only want you to be my boyfriend."

"Do I have a chance of being your boyfriend?"

I told him my secret, thinking he would despise me.

I never imagined I'd receive the embrace and kiss I'd once dreamed of more than anything.

So it wasn't just me who felt this way.

I'm so glad.

"Ah Heng, I like you."

"I like you too."

[Reading Guide]

1. First- and third-person narration are mixed, with alternating perspectives. Please don't read if that bothers you.

2. A slice-of-life short story with a happy ending.

3. Updates whenever inspiration strikes. I write on a whim and let my imagination run wild, putting in whatever comes to mind. The plot has no logic, and the story may be a bit confused. If you find it uncomfortable to read, feel free to leave. There's no pressure to keep reading.

4. Sweet! Sweet! Sweet! Super-duper, outrageously sweet!

5. The top and bottom are not related by blood. They're just childhood friends who grew up together!

Theme: Don't bottle up your love. Say it out loud.
