Bad news: he transmigrated.

Worse news: in the world he transmigrated to, at least one in every ten people has a supernatural ability.

Everything around him is unchanged: the streets, the buildings, the place names, all just as he remembers them. It doesn't sound like he transmigrated, does it?

That is, until he went for his usual appointment with his psychologist to make sure he was mentally and physically healthy, only to discover that the psychologist no longer needed to say a word during treatment. A suspicious green glow gathered in his hands, and he was about to press them onto Lin's head.

But the good news was that he had a supernatural ability too.

He just wasn't sure whether some transmigration bug had glitched out, because his ability refreshed with a new one every week.

On top of that, every so often it gave him a different character buff. :)

In week one, he was a penniless college student about to graduate. His ability was nothing special: he could read people's thoughts, which happened to include their plans to silence him. Looking at his classmates, who seemed friendly on the surface, he fell silent.

Lin Lumian: Mm-hmm, keep talking. I'm listening.

Three days later, after listening to them revise their silencing plan from version A to version C and reveal their criminal records, which he could recite by heart, Lin Lumian decided to thank them for the entertainment by tying each of them a different, pretty butterfly bow. He thoughtfully delivered them to the entrance of the bureau responsible for handling supernatural crimes.

In week two, he woke up to find his identity had changed. This time, he was the CEO of a multinational corporation, earning a steady stream of money every day without having to do a thing.

Lin Lumian almost thought he had transmigrated again. Just as he was about to lie flat and count his money, he discovered the truth about his ability.

Oh, wow. If he remembered correctly, the reason they had tried to silence him in week one was a branch of this multinational corporation.

No problem. He understood one principle very well: if you can't solve the problem, solve the person who caused it. Don't be afraid, client. I'm not talking about you, but the thing behind you.

Lin Lumian pinned the shadow beneath his foot and wondered whether he could make a souvenir for the client. For some reason, though, the client only got more frightened.

One day, Lin Lumian finally couldn't hold back and asked the person who was always showing up beside him what they wanted.

The person gazed at him obediently, their star-bright eyes reflecting no one but him. Their lips lifted in a "reluctant" smile.

"All right, if you really don't want me around... I'll do as you say."

Lin Lumian: "…"
