Limited-Edition Omega

Jiang Jianyue had been an Alpha for eighteen years and suffered from severe homophobia. When the first signs of discomfort began, he never imagined they would lead to such a drastic change. He had undergone a second differentiation and become an Omega. A precious S-rank Omega. An S-rank Omega who, once discovered, would immediately be taken to the Holy Citadel and placed under protection. Every aspect of life would be carefully provided for, even the corners of tables that might cause a bump would be wrapped up. He would never be allowed outside again, let alone touch a mech or go to war. Jiang Jianyue destroyed his differentiation report and the machine that had recorded his physical data. Every month or two, an Omega would go into heat, and the resulting passion would give them an intense desire to be marked by an Alpha. Even after suddenly becoming an Omega, Jiang Jianyue still felt a physical revulsion toward Alphas. The smell of their pheromones made him want to throw up. He could never bring himself to submit to an Alpha. An Alpha from the slums faced plenty of discrimination, and many people wanted to humiliate him. The heat of a newly differentiated Omega was a ticking time bomb that could go off at any moment. Someone maliciously swapped out the suppressants Jiang Jianyue carried with him. Those people wanted Jiang Jianyue to go into heat and act like a madman, causing destruction until he was dragged off and injected with a sedative. How could a B-rank Alpha from the slums be allowed to outrank them? That day, every Alpha in the military academy smelled the pheromones of an Omega with the scent of Bulgarian Damascus rose. The fragrance was so thick it was hard to breathe. A poor planet. That was how other people described the planet where Jiang Jianyue was born. "Jiang Jianyue, you belong in the mud." He was a B-rank Alpha who had clawed his way up out of the mud. His academic grades were S-rank, his combat grades C-rank. After graduation, he would be assigned to the border as a junior officer, where he could die on the front lines at any moment. It was his only way forward. The path Jiang Jianyue had spent more than a decade digging out with his bare hands was destroyed by his second differentiation. If his Omega identity was exposed, he would be locked indoors and made to wait for a match. The Alpha he was eventually matched with might even be one of his classmates. Main character is the top. A story about someone hated by everyone becoming everyone's favorite, with intense focus on the top. Everyone else is just a camera aimed at him. Theme: Never bow to fate.
