Xin Ya is the three-and-a-half-year-old heroine of a Mary Sue world. She has hair and eyes that change color, can talk to animals, sheds tears that turn into gemstones, and can affect the weather with her emotions, among other traits...
One day, she wanders into an unfamiliar world. Her memories become muddled, and all she remembers is that her and her father's hair and eye colors are similar. So she asks a little bird for help.
The bird leads her to someone who might be her father. Following its directions, little Xin Ya joyfully rushes over and hugs his leg, then looks up and says in her babyish voice, "Daddy, your treasure is here!"
Atobe, caught completely off guard: ?
The tennis club members, just arriving at the courts: ?! He actually kept something this big from them!
Atobe protests, unable to explain himself: "She really isn't this master's daughter!"
Little Xin Ya pouts, tears in her eyes, and a storm immediately whips up. Hiyoshi hides behind Oshitari and shrieks, "Even the heavens can't stand you lying!"
Left with no choice, Atobe takes the little girl home for now. But just as he becomes more and more wrapped up in her sugar-coated onslaught day by day, the kid disappears.
The parrot at home cackles on repeat: "Your treasure's gone! Your treasure's gone!"
Atobe, unable to find her anywhere, clenches his fists and considers cooking the parrot.
Meanwhile, little Xin Ya, trusting the parrot to deliver her message, has already arrived at the Tezuka home with her little bundle. She politely knocks on the door. "Hello, I'm looking for my daddy. His name is Kunimitsu."
Tezuka's mother stares at the child with light brown hair and brown-black eyes, covering her mouth in shock.
That same day, Tezuka, still training with the tennis club, is urgently summoned home. His whole family is gathered there, staring at him with strange expressions.
Tezuka calmly adjusts his glasses. "I couldn't have a daughter this old."
After hearing the little dog Tezuka's family keeps spill the beans, little Xin Ya hugs her bundle, approaches with teary eyes, and gently rubs the young man's arm. Then she puffs out her cheeks and blows on it. "Ya-ya will blow it better, the pain will fly away~"
The icy captain silently melts a little.
However, one day, little Xin Ya discovers that she has changed color again. She has to find a new daddy. She finds Daddy Yukimura, who is sick, and then Daddy Shiraishi, who is funny. But they both say they aren't her father, and she keeps changing colors.
Who is her daddy, after all? Little Xin Ya leaves sadly, only to be caught by human traffickers.
Terrified, she sobs, and her tears tumble down, turning into gemstones scattered across the floor. The traffickers are overjoyed, oblivious to the sudden storm raging outside.
The little birds chirp away in the treetops. "Have you heard? Atobe from Hyotei is looking for his daughter."
"That's right, that's right! Tezuka from Seigaku is looking for his daughter, too."
"And Yukimura from Rikkai."
"Shiraishi from Shitenhoji is looking for her, too!"
The little birds look at one another. "Are their daughters... all the same person?"
