The Undying Traveler

Lin Jiayi has a secret: she can't die. Not in the ordinary sense of being immortal. Whoever kills her has their soul devoured by hers, and she then inherits their memories, identity, and criminal record.

To avoid being caught and to uncover the truth, she has to keep running.

Gujia Mountain lies in the central-western highlands, covered in dense forest and riddled with sinkholes.

She's looking for the shrine that went missing there a hundred years ago.

Never mind a shrine, there isn't a single living person in the sinkholes, and the place is rife with all sorts of eerie legends.

There, Lin Jiayi meets Pearl, an outsider carrying countless secrets.

After leaving the sinkholes, Lin Jiayi travels from place to place, eventually reaching Xichuan.

Xichuan, known in ancient times as Gongbu, is home to countless temples and sacred mountains. Outsiders call it a "holy land," a place to cleanse the soul. But many dead souls dwell there too, imprisoned in temples or buried beneath sacred mountains.

A secret hidden for over a thousand years lies buried here as well.

1. Updates are generally every other day, with extra chapters at irregular intervals.

2. This is a fictional world with an original setting. The setting, place names, character names, and monster names are all invented, with no allusions or hidden meanings. Any resemblance is purely coincidental.

3. Happy ending, one-on-one romance.

4. The male lead is a lovesick fool. He doesn't appear much, but he's crucial to the story.

5. There are lots of mysteries planted early on, so things may seem unreasonable, inexplicable, or illogical as you read. I'll do my best to explain them all later.

6. I may revise the story from time to time, usually to fix typos and minor details that don't affect the plot. Major revisions will be noted in the summary.

Theme: Live in the face of death, and be reborn from it.
