You Call This Treatment?

On the first day Lin Shuangxue returned to the game, she was bound by a System claiming to be the “world's number one healer” and was delighted with an interstellar transmigration.

System: “Young hero, you have excellent bone structure and a full set of gear. You're sure to achieve the goal of becoming the number one healer in the stars!”

Lin Shuangxue took a deep breath. “Could it be that you bound the wrong person? My best friend is the healer, not me.”

The System was stunned. They stared at each other, and then it burst into tears.

After talking things over with the System, Lin Shuangxue learned that everything was already set in stone. She could only go home after earning the “Number One Healer” medal awarded by the Interstellar Alliance. She took a deep breath and smiled kindly at the System. “So I just need to get the medal?”

At the time, the System did not understand Lin Shuangxue's sinister intentions and nodded innocently.

Lin Shuangxue looked down at her max-level Bingxin build and legendary orange weapon. Healing just meant making sure her teammates survived in one piece.

So... if she took out all the enemies, wouldn't her teammates survive? Who wouldn't call that perfect healing?

During a certain match, Commentator A excitedly told the audience, “This is the genius healer who's been making a name for herself lately. With her here, she can surely lead her teammates through the encirclement.”

Commentator B glanced at Lin Shuangxue, who was surrounded by several mechs on the field alongside a teammate who had been separated from the rest. He hesitated before saying, “But she doesn't look like she's in a very good situation.”

And while the two of them were talking, the healer's teammate finally couldn't hold out any longer and was knocked down.

Commentator A was just about to say something when the situation on the field suddenly reversed. Lin Shuangxue somehow produced two long swords and, all on her own, took out the enemies surrounding her.

Commentator B: “?”

Wait, you call that healing?

Commentator A gritted his teeth. “The goal of healing is to protect your teammates. Just tell me, did her teammate survive or not?”

Commentator B: “...”

If by protecting her teammate, you mean beating up every enemy attacking them.

On the field, the System stared in stunned disbelief as Lin Shuangxue cut a swath through the enemy ranks with her sword. “Wait, our goal is to be a healer!”

Lin Shuangxue: “Just tell me, did my teammate survive or not?”

System: “...”

Wait, that's not the kind of healing I meant!

Reading Guide: 1. The game is not exactly the same as the original. The protagonist plays both a healing build and an Iceheart build in the game Jian Wang 3. You don't need to know the game to enjoy this, though. The author has been away from it for years and is only recently getting back into it.
