"In the last three months of the year, the Lady of Frost appears, bringing frost and snow."
Past life: Short-lived princess x young general
Present life: Antique book conservator x history professor
Strange things have been happening in Wucheng lately.
After the younger daughter of the Li family on Furong Lane, who worked at a museum, suddenly died, she inexplicably came back to life.
Since then, she has often dreamed that she is forever eighteen, dressed in pristine white, hanging herself before a hall full of ancestral tablets.
After her death, a handsome young general rode into the capital. On a cold, rainy night, he knelt before her grave and refused to rise for a long time.
Some time later, the museum director asked Li Zhiwei to visit a young history professor named Pei Zhao.
Professor Pei was every inch the elegant gentleman, but the moment Li Zhiwei looked at him, her heart began to pound.
He had the exact same face as the general in her dream.
"My name is Pei Zhao, courtesy name Huai'an. In life, I was a great general who defended the state. After death, I refused reincarnation and became the record keeper of the Bureau of Yin Law, tasked with capturing ghosts and demons and keeping the mortal world at peace. My poor Qing Nyu, I watched her grow up and kissed her brow and eyes. In the next life, I will surely find her."
Additional notes:
1. The story moves between ancient and modern times. The ancient setting is fictionalized, inspired by the Song dynasty.
2. I have a great many personal worldbuilding details.
