This Isn't the Country Life I Dreamed Of

Xie Yuqi somehow finds himself in a dynasty that never existed in history, as the young son of a wealthy merchant.

Thinking of the pastoral life he'd longed for in his previous life, the young master returns to the countryside, rents some farmland, and plans to make a fresh start. Then he'll marry a beautiful wife, raise a child, and live like a god.

But then Chu Yunsi, leader of the rebels, passes by and sees how well his fields are planted. He kidnaps him into rebel territory, sets aside a plot of land for him, and tells him to grow food for the soldiers.

Xie Yuqi: "...What?"

The young master has never been treated so unfairly. Every day, he tries to figure out how to escape.

While Chu Yunsi is injured and unconscious, Xie Yuqi manages to flee. But on the way home, he witnesses countless tragedies.

The farther he walks, the quieter he becomes.

He thinks of the territory governed by the rebels. The people there may be poor, but they have clothes to wear and homes to return to. The old, the young, women, and children don't have to worry about being harmed...

So he retraces his steps, returns to rebel territory, and agrees to help them farm.

But as the days of farming go by, Chu Yunsi starts looking at him differently. One day, he even confesses his feelings.

Chu Yunsi: "You don't like me? Then why do you keep sneaking looks at me?"

Xie Yuqi: "!!! How did you find out?!"
