Sweet Every Day (Showbiz)

After a year as an actress, Lu Meng was constantly being trashed in all sorts of ways and receiving abusive private messages.

The reason was that she'd been forced to pretend to date a top-tier star.

One day, the rich little princess who was madly in love with her fake boyfriend came striding up to her and tossed down a ten-million-yuan check, demanding that she break up with him.

Was there really such a good deal?

Her acting was superb. She pretended to be reluctant, looking pitiful for a while, then happily took the check and left.

After paying off her contract termination fee, she decided to use the rest of the money to open a little noodle shop and make a living with her cooking and hard work.

But before her noodle shop could open, her fake boyfriend and his agency both crashed and burned.

Soon afterward, internet users uncovered the fact that she was the one who'd truly been oppressed and mistreated.

Public opinion turned around overnight, and she repeatedly topped the trending searches.

Just then, a dating reality show made her an offer: travel and date for a month with the award-winning actor Gu Chuzhi.

Lu Meng had planned to turn it down, but they were offering her far too much!

After the show aired, the CP fans just kept multiplying, and the Zhimen CP became a huge hit. Fans shouted every day that the two of them should get together.

Even after the show ended, their enthusiasm showed no sign of fading.

Lu Meng, however, was troubled.

Because her parents asked her every day when she was bringing Gu Chuzhi home to meet them.

She told Gu Chuzhi about it as a joke.

Gu Chuzhi smiled at her and said, "I have a foolproof way to help you settle this once and for all."

He took out a ring and got down on one knee. "Marry me, Mengmeng."

Gu Chuzhi had a secret: he'd liked Lu Meng for a long time.
