Ling: "All right, from today on, you're my hired hand. Listen carefully to what your boss says, do your best when your boss gives you a task, and protect your boss first if danger comes. Got it?"

Wuma Yi nodded. He was willing to be a menial worker at her inn, as long as he could stay by her side.

Late one night, a group of people broke into an old mansion. Beneath a tree, they dug up the beautiful corpse of a woman. Horrified, they scattered and fled. The next day, they returned to find the ground smooth, without a trace of digging. They dug again, and there was the same beautiful female corpse. From then on, people came to shun the house as a haunted place.

A hundred years passed. The house, long since battered and ruined by wind and rain, opened from the inside and was transformed overnight. The alluring proprietress, Ling, claimed that the goods in her shop came from the mountains and seas. She sold rare things that could not be found in the human world, treasures awaiting those destined to find them, and able to resolve the obsessions in people's hearts.

There are always regrets in this world. A strange dream from ancient times had long haunted the proprietress, until a man who claimed to have lived for more than a thousand years came to her shop. Through the Butterfly Pattern Mirror, she returned to where it all began and witnessed his entire life. They had loved each other in different eras.
