[Quiet, scheming campus heartthrob vs. bright, goofy sweetheart] [Top student vs. internet-addicted girl]
Campus life | Ensemble cast and growing up | Both leads are each other's first love | Long-planned romance | Both leads are adults
Luocheng University runs its first-year students like the military: no skipping class, evening study ends at 9:00 p.m., and dorm inspections are always surprise visits...
Jiang Jinxia neither attended evening study like she was supposed to nor asked for leave, and she got caught.
The boy standing by the stairwell had sharply defined features, monolids, and a high nose. Their eyes met.
Jiang Jinxia's heart sank. "I-I-I..."
The boy glanced at her coolly. "Name and class."
Jiang Jinxia stammered, "I... I'm not a freshman... I'm a junior, Journalism Class Two... Jiang Mingqiu... I have something to do... I'll get going."
Watching Jiang Jinxia hurry away, Cheng Jun couldn't help laughing. "Lao Xu, since when did our class get a stutterer? Hahaha."
As luck would have it, Jiang Jinxia got caught skipping class a second time, by the same boy.
This time, he was wearing a freshman uniform, with the buttons of his shirt undone and his collarbones showing.
Jiang Jinxia thought, So he's a freshman too!
She cleared her throat and asked with confidence, "So you're my junior. Name and class?"
"Journalism Class Two, Xu Huaifeng." His voice was cool. "Third year."
Jiang Jinxia smiled faintly. "Lying is wrong. I'll let you off this time, but don't skip evening study again."
In her head: A third-year student wearing a freshman uniform? Give me a break. I've seen it all before.
Xu Huaifeng, who had to wear his uniform for university events: "..."
Her cousin Jiang Mingqiu asked, "When did you meet Xu Huaifeng? He asked me for your contact info."
Jiang Jinxia: "Who is Xu Huaifeng?"
Jiang Mingqiu: "The campus heartthrob! The heartthrob who never gets close to any girl!"
Jiang Jinxia: "Don't know him. Turn him down, and tell him to leave me alone."
She promptly forgot all about it, and forgot his name too.
Sports meet, men's 3,000-meter race.
Jiang Jinxia walked over to the boy with a bottle of water and teased him, "Junior, you've got it rough. Everyone's cheering for that so-called campus heartthrob. How come you don't even have one person bringing you water?"
Xu Huaifeng took the bottle. "Mm. Let me lean on you for a bit."
The whole university was stunned.
Xu Huaifeng, the campus heartthrob who kept everyone at arm's length, couldn't stand girls getting close to him, not even to bring him water. Yet he'd accepted a bottle from a junior girl, and the two of them were so intimate!
A faint floral fragrance lingered in the air. Xu Huaifeng lounged in a deck chair beside the pool.
Crystal-clear droplets ran down his high nose and disappeared between his thin lips.
A girl lifted his swimsuit and painted a blue butterfly on his stomach.
His friends were laughing and fooling around nearby, but he had eyes only for her.
"Our story began when we were children."
* Our university really does have evening study, and uniforms are required for major events.
* I'm terrible at writing blurbs.
Blurb completed on June 7, 2024.

Secret crush comes true | Marriage first (sex included), love later | Four-year age gap | Both leads are each other's first love
[Cardiac surgeon vs. perfumer] [Untouchable beauty vs. sensitive, thoughtful soul]
The week before Yun Wen and Xu Qingyu were supposed to get engaged, Yun Ting developed a sharp pain in her heart.
She timed her visit to the hospital to coincide with Xu Qingyu's vacation and went in alone for a checkup.
"Doctor, I've been having some chest pain lately..."
Xu Qingyu looked up. Behind his elegant gold-rimmed glasses was a pair of beautiful eyes. "Yun Ting?"
"Xu... Xu Qingyu? Sorry... I walked into the wrong room..."
"Take off your coat."
"Go get an electrocardiogram."
Yun Ting clutched her clothes, hiding the red marks on her body, and fled the department in embarrassment. Before she left, she heard Xu Qingyu's cool voice behind her:
"Isn't your boyfriend here with you?"
*
Yun Ting is a perfumer, but she's allergic to the scent of white plum blossoms.
At its mildest, it makes her eyes water. At its worst, it brings her out in red rashes that look like scattered kiss marks.
Yet Xu Qingyu always carries the crisp, cool scent of white plum blossoms, clean and aloof, meant to be admired from afar, never approached.
*
She first met Xu Qingyu when she was eight.
The young man stood at the top of the stairs, his skin pale and cool, his dark eyes calm. He was aloof and icy, yet carried an air of arrogance. Frightened, Yun Ting clutched her father's hand and burst into tears.
Yun Wen, however, walked up obediently and blinked her bright eyes. "Hi, big brother. You're so handsome. I'm Yun Wen, and she's my little sister, Yun Ting."
Xu Qingyu's gaze was cold. His eyes swept over Yun Ting, and at last he spoke impatiently. "Quiet down."
*
At twenty-four, Yun Ting married Xu Qingyu.
She always believed Xu Qingyu had married her only because her older sister had run away from the wedding.
After all, he affectionately called her sister "Xiao Wen," but called her "Yun Ting."
On their wedding night, Xu Qingyu said flatly, "Now that we're married, cut ties with all those shady people outside."
Yun Ting gathered her courage and carefully kissed Xu Qingyu's thin lips, accepting the allergy as the price.
The next day, Xu Qingyu no longer smelled of cool white plum blossoms.
"Yun Ting, I'm sorry."
*The male lead's perspective is marriage first, love later. The female lead's perspective is a secret crush come true.
*The heroine isn't a lovesick fool. She's exceptional.
*There is no romance between the male lead and the older sister.
Theme: Love life

Why is the next chapter locked?
I used to hate summer the most, I hated its heat and stickiness, and I hated the sunshine with nowhere to hide. But now, I love summer the most, especially the summer wind.
This article is really niche (in terms of popularity), but luckily I didn't miss it. It's very interesting. I didn't expect the author to be a new author. I'm looking forward to your latest article, but it's a pity that I only updated a few chapters.
My favorite of the year. I really like it. I'm looking forward to the next campus novel. I like to read campus novels the most.
