Running a Safehouse in a World of Natural Disasters

Lin En woke up one morning to find that an app called "Safehouse Operator" had installed itself on her phone. She couldn't delete it or move it, so she simply ignored it. Her phone still worked normally, after all.

That night, once darkness fell, she was suddenly transported to a world where the average temperature was over fifty degrees. At the same time, a notification sounded in her ear:

"Hello, Lin En, Safehouse Operator. Please make your way to your base as soon as possible, work hard to build a safehouse, and save the survivors of this world."

The players had been struggling for five years since they were inexplicably swept into the Extreme Temperature Game. The world had been turned upside down, and the players who managed to cling to life lived in camps they had built themselves, where the law of the jungle ruled.

Just as the players began to think the game would never end, they discovered a strange building on an empty plot of land no one had ever set foot on. It looked plain yet mysterious.

One bold player pushed open the door and shivered as a blast of cold air hit him. There was air conditioning in here!

Then the dazzling array of goods inside nearly blinded him.

[Mung Bean Soup: Restores 20 stamina when consumed. Bonus effect: Heat relief (lasts 2h). Price: 1 copper coin]

[Basic Sun Umbrella: Blocks ultraviolet rays when equipped. Can be used by up to 2 people. Price: 10 copper coins]

[Basic Sun-Protective Clothing: Regulates the temperature around the wearer when equipped. For 1 person only. Daily usage limit: 6h. Price: 5 copper coins]

The player was stunned. He cautiously exchanged the 1 copper coin in his backpack for a bowl of mung bean soup and drank it. To his delight, the buff really did appear on his status screen.

Overjoyed, he rushed outside to bring more companions to the safehouse to exchange for supplies.

There was hope of beating the game after all!!!
