Snow at Sunrise

*A short story. No plans to expand it for now.

*Two chapters, complete.

I live in this shattered world, like countless others in this age. Alongside the livestock on this land, we're busy being born and busy dying.

I was born the embodiment of shame and obscurity, and so was this age. War ravages the land, flames consume the horizon. I stand in the gray space between invader and invaded. When I lift my head to gaze at the moon, it feels like looking at another version of myself: seemingly alive, but in truth, gone for many years.

But someone says the snow is falling softly.

He is the sun, the sun of the world, my sun.

Then let me melt into ashes, for the sun, for the sea.
