The Deposed Crown Princess’s Palace Attendant (Female-Dominated World)

Yuan Linghua is a deposed Crown Princess.

Her trusted aides have been sent one by one to bitterly cold lands, after her successor's consort whispered into the ruler's ear.

Yuan Linghua has not bowed her proud head. She still vows to take back everything that should have been hers. She tills the soil and tends flowers to mislead her enemies, while secretly keeping in touch with her former subordinates, enduring hardship and biding her time until the day she can succeed.

One day, a little palace attendant is sent to the much-despised Cold Palace.

The young attendant is handsome, can embroider, brew tea, and tend flowers.

It's as if he has been sent specifically to keep the deposed Crown Princess company as she enjoys her leisure.

Yuan Linghua watches him coldly, orders him to serve at her side, and decides that once she figures out his purpose, she'll arrange for him to die in an accident.

The young attendant, however, has no idea. He carefully keeps Yuan Linghua company every day, always cheerful and seemingly guileless.

Yuan Linghua has frowned to herself countless times, thinking that she's spending far too much effort on the young attendant. It can't be a good sign.

The next day, she points to a faded trumpet vine and sends the young attendant to the greenhouse for seeds.

After he leaves, he doesn't come back, just as she expected.

Yuan Linghua watches the rain from the window, her expression impassive and one hand clenched behind her back.

But then the young attendant runs back through the downpour, soaked through, yet beaming as he holds out the flower seeds to Yuan Linghua, his eyes full of joy.

"Your Highness, I got the trumpet vine seeds."

The young attendant still has no sense of propriety and refuses to call himself a servant.

But this time, Yuan Linghua can't bring herself to scold him. Seeing that not a single trumpet vine seed has gotten wet, she unclenches the hand behind her back.

"Why did you come back?"

Yuan Linghua studies the young attendant.

"Because Your Highness is here. You're the very best of all, Your Highness."

The young attendant looks up at her, unwavering, his eyes filled with Yuan Linghua's reflection.
