Barty Crouch x Arlo Slughorn (original character)
The Dumbledore-era generation, the story of Barty Crouch Jr.'s parents, and a prequel to the author's other work, "Scenery in the Mist".
Canon confirms that Barty Crouch Sr. loves his wife. He loves her deeply, so this won't be out of character.
Barty Sr.'s romance + Barty Jr.'s family bond + a tiny bit of Barty Jr.'s romance.
I've realized that no amount of warnings will satisfy everyone, so I give up. Please let me be. This is a free story!
Warnings:
1. Sweetness mixed with angst, including coercive scenes. Coercion, coercion! I'll say it three times. The male lead loves her like crazy! The female lead also adores her Crouch father and son. Barty Sr. and Barty Jr. are both equally unhinged. Their madness is hereditary: all three generations of Crouches are deranged.
2. Barty Sr. barely speaks, but there are internal monologues. I don't want to distort his character too much, because in canon he practically never says a word. Otherwise, Barty Jr. wouldn't have been so sure his father didn't love him. So if you want a sweet-talking male lead, we're not a good fit. Let's part ways early. I'm writing purely for love, so please be kind.
3. The main story follows canon, and the ending is a double-death bad ending. Barty Jr. kills his father and frames his mother. That's how Rowling wrote it, so please don't attack me for it. If you want sweetness and everyone to survive, read the reborn storyline after the main story ends.
In a nutshell: a love story about obsessive, deranged characters.
There are two timelines: the canon timeline and the reborn timeline. The main story follows canon and its devastating twists. After it ends comes the reborn storyline, with no angst, just sweetness. Important characters who died in the First Wizarding War will make occasional cameo appearances, and the focus is on a happy ending.
The version on Green River is the clean version, with bonus scenes. For the explicit scenes, look on L.
An original character, Galan Lestrange (Crouch), is introduced later. She's the daughter of Voldemort and Bella, and Barty Jr.'s wife. Their story is told in the sequel, "Scenery in the Mist", which is complete. The later reborn storyline may tie in with bonus chapters from "Scenery in the Mist". If you don't want to read the bonus chapters, just read the author's notes. There are occasional annotations there. You can still follow the story without them.
In this story, Professor Slughorn was born in 1913, and the male and female leads were born in 1943. To avoid disrupting the timeline of "Scenery in the Mist" and Bellatrix's birth year, Cygnus is set as Walburga's older brother. This doesn't affect any of the plot.
Theme: It's all right. I don't blame you in this life.
No wonder you sent Sirius to prison without even interrogating him in your previous life, a dark wizard named Black who looked so much like your wife's first love 😏
OK, Old Barty was killed by Little Barty and turned into a pile of bones and buried in the Forbidden Forest.
Barrow: Do you dare to bully Helena's school girl? This is even more unreasonable than bullying Slytherin
Didn't Mrs. Claus die in Azkaban at the mouth of the Dementor in the original novel?
When I think about what happened later, I feel that Crouch is really a very cold person. He deserved the separation of his wife and son, but the mother and son were really harmed by him. . .
In fact, according to the original line before rebirth, Bati and the heroine are not the best cp. Because of the heroine's character, she needs a lot of companionship and straightforward and passionate love. From the perspective of expression, Alphard is more suitable for the heroine than Bati, but unfortunately, love is really something that does not follow the routine.
Who said this cook is bad? This cook is great 😭 😭 😭
Now I see little Barty saying hello father ~ I want to laugh
The Crouch family are all gods😦. Although they are in the underworld, they are a bit easy to knock [make me healthy], knocking on the wooden fish while knocking.
Al is really great. If the heroine is always with him, she will be very happy! In the end, both of them did not have to die young (for the wizard), but it is a pity that there is old Barty, this big killer. . .
