In those brief seconds, Lu Yao had already imagined what flowers would grow on her grave.

The beautiful yet ruthless young commander tossed aside the newspaper, walked over, removed her gloves, and gripped Lu Yao's face.

Too close. Lu Yao could clearly see her own stunned expression reflected in the other woman's pupils.

"It's been a long time." Her breath was a little cooler than most people's, but her voice ended with a restrained laugh. "So you care about me that much..."
