Her fiancé had led troops to suppress bandits a month ago. Who could have guessed that he would disappear half a month ago?
Ming Dai prayed day and night for his safe return, because their wedding was only three months away.
Perhaps Heaven heard her pleas. He came back, but another woman was already nestled at his side, and he had even forgotten Ming Dai.
When Ming Dai asked him about their engagement, he laughed and said a childhood promise did not count, and that the only woman he would ever love was the one beside him.
Ming Dai knew he had lost his memory and forgotten her. By all the usual rules, the lovesick woman was supposed to win back her amnesiac lover by doing everything she could to move him.
But she did not want to keep him. She wanted to break off the engagement, because he had broken his vow.
And Ming Dai would never allow her husband to take another woman!
But how to end the engagement, and ensure that he would not resent her for being heartless once his memory returned, became a problem.
So Ming Dai took him to the places that held all their memories, then had him destroy them one by one with his own hands.
When their memories came to an end, it was time to put a period on their relationship, too.
The man who had repeatedly insisted that childhood promises did not count now had red eyes as he told her he had regained all his memories.
He said he regretted it, and that the only person he would ever love was Ming Dai.
But she had already given him chance after chance, so she did not look back. She turned and married her cousin.
She never expected him to block her bridal sedan on her wedding day, crushing all his dignity underfoot and even threatening his life just to beg her to turn back.
But what is missed is missed.
When she saw Yan Heng again three years later, he had become Prince An Yang and had come under imperial orders to confiscate her family’s estate.
He was now the illustrious Prince An Yang, wielding great power.
She was the disgraced wife of a condemned official, fallen into the mud.
The female lead is not a virgin, while the male lead is. If that bothers you, please don't read.
Please add my new story to your favorites: After My Beloved Brought Home a Lady
Blurb: Shen Guiyi's beloved has returned, bringing with him a woman skilled in medicine.
The woman presented an old, yellowed marriage contract, signed by both their grandfathers.
This is a dynasty that prizes honor and keeps its promises. The Wei family, esteemed as the foremost family of scholars, especially cannot afford to invite gossip. No matter how unhappy they are, they have to accept this marriage.
So Wei Heng came to her and said that he had no feelings for that woman. He was marrying her only so his political enemies could not use the matter against him. Shen Guiyi would always be his wife.
He also told her to wait for him.
Shen Guiyi only smiled and said nothing. She turned and returned every gift he had ever given her.
Shen Guiyi thought that once she returned the gifts, they would be even. He could marry his lovely bride, she could marry someone else, and neither would owe the other anything.
But then he came to her room, covered in blood, carrying the head of her newlywed husband.
Like a vengeful ghost, he advanced on her step by step. His gaze was cold yet passionate as he caressed her cheek. "A Yi, didn't I tell you? You can only marry me in this life. Even in death, you belong to me!"
Theme: Learn to cut your losses in time.
What an amazing article hahahahaha 🐶 I don't know how to evaluate it
To be honest, I won't comment on the male protagonist, as I don't think he is very important. I just can't see clearly what the heroine wants. It feels like the heroine is quite similar to his father.
It's so cool. I'm a great author. Although I skipped watching it, it turns out that the male protagonist was made into such an annoying character on purpose.
This is my favorite crematorium for chasing my wife. I have never heard of anyone entering the crematorium. People who are still alive should be reduced to ashes in the crematorium.
How exciting it was in the early stage, how depressing it was in the later stage...
This is the real crematorium for chasing wives!!!
Be pretty good! No matter how much you do, you can't make up for the damage done before.
The heroine used to have the courage to break off the engagement and commit suicide, but now she is beaten every day, and her daughter is kept in a doghouse and she still tolerates it. She is not even a parent. Her character is completely ruined and she is being abused for the sake of abuse.
I'm not saying that, these two men are just like two pieces of shit, and I can't stand the heroine being with that one.
Both male and female protagonists are very interesting. If you haven't tried it before, you can check it out.
