The Heir's Wife's Broken Engagement Plan

Banban had been betrothed since childhood to a man she was promised to before either of them was born. Once she came of age, they would officially marry.

But she had never met her fiancé. She didn't know if he was ugly or handsome, tall or short, thin or fat. He was a complete stranger.

With the wedding date drawing near and no other options, Banban wrote to her pen pal and poured out her troubles.

Between the lines, she kept asking: How can I break off an engagement to someone I don't love?

The reply came quickly: I have three excellent plans.

First, ruin your own reputation. Say you're willful and unreasonable, as strong as an ox, uglier than a night demon, and terribly jealous.

Second, gently explain that you already have someone you love, and ask him not to tear apart a pair of lovebirds.

Third, find a beautiful woman to seduce him until he's so besotted he swears he'd rather die than marry anyone but her.

If none of these plans work, you can elope.

Her pen pal added: We've known each other for a long time. If you have nowhere to go, come find me.

What Banban didn't know was that her pen pal was none other than the fiancé she'd been trying to break things off with, the man she'd never met.

Premise: A twist of fate
